Our MayCraft is 25’6″ in length and has a beam of 8’6″. Due to their layout and ride, these boats are often referred to as “a big little boat”. Her bow has a very sharp entry that can slice through Chesapeake Bay chop. However, the deadrise, or V, lessens in the stern. This make her more stable when anchored, drifting or trolling than many other boats her size whose deep V extends all the way to their transom. She is powered by a quiet, 225 Horsepower Yamaha 4-Stroke that gives us speeds up to 30 knots.
Catchin’ Up II‘s extended hard top provides shade on hot, sunny days, and shelter from precipitation when needed. A custom canvas enclosure with large, clear panel windows gives additional protection from the elements and wind when necessary. As she is a 25’ vessel, we limit charters on our MayCraft 2 a maximum of 4 guests to avoid overcrowding.
Some of her equipment includes:
- Port-a-potty in the cuddy cabin
- Dual helm stations; 1 in the pilothouse, the other in the cockpit at the stern
- VHF radio
- 2 multi-function displays providing sonar, radar and GPS chartplotting
- Large livewell
- Remote control spotlight
- LED interior lighting
- Cooler for drinks
- Cooler and large insulated fish bag for our catch
- Stereo system
